Dr. Taddei conducts research on the communication between climate scientists and meteorological institutions and local populations in Latin America. He is interested in how local populations understand and relate to the environment, and how economic development and modernization affect perceptions and behaviors associated to climate and weather.

Dr. Taddei received his Ph.D. in Anthropology from Columbia University. He is an assistant professor of sociology at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Brazil. He is also an affiliated researcher at the Comitas Institute for Anthropological Study (CIFAS).

Prior to joining UNIFESP, he was a visiting professor at Yale, and taught also at Columbia, the City University of New York, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil.
