Karoline Gamma is a graduate student from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland and affiliated with CRED for a 15 month research visit which is founded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. In her PhD, Karoline investigates how to increase the customer acceptance of smart grid products and services, e.g. smart meters and demand response programs. Her research builds on findings from research on environmental decision making, choice architecture, and innovation research. Through a set of experimental studies with end consumers, Karoline aims at developing effective marketing materials and business models which encourage end consumers to adapt (e.g. a demand response program) and thus helps to meet energy efficiency targets.
Karoline received a MS degree in marketing, communication and service management and a BS degree in business administration from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland.
