Elke Weber presents at Princeton University

On November 28, 2012, Elke Weber, CRED co-director, psychology professor, and Jerome A. Chazen Professor of International Business at Columbia’s Business School, presented “Psychological Barriers to Understanding and Using Uncertainty” at Princeton University. She was hosted by the research community, “Communicating Uncertainty: Science, Institutions, and Ethics in the Politics of Global Climate Change,” an inter-disciplinary group led by 16 Princeton faculty members representing nine departments and three programs. The aim of the research community, whose members work in disciplines ranging from engineering to political philosophy, is to examine issues of uncertainty –particularly global climate change, and to improve the capacity to discuss and weigh related policy prescriptions.
