Ben Orlove at “Ice Cubed: An Inquiry into the Aesthetics, History, and Science of Ice”, April 16th

CRED Co-director, Ben Orlove, along with artist, Marshall Reece will be leading a City as Living Lab (CALL) walk on Saturday April 16th at 11:45am. This event is a part of the CALL conference entitled “Ice Cubed: An Inquiry into the Aesthetics, History, and Science of Ice”.

The walk will focus on landscape and the passage of time using techniques of deep listening. The walk will begin at Broadway and 116th street, and head West following the disappeared creek banks that fed into the Hudson and continue through Riverside Park, taking account of traces of past geological events. The group will then head East on 108th St and engage in a sonic meditation to end at Straus Park.
