Katherine Thompson, doctoral student in the Columbia University Department of Psychology and CRED affiliate, spoke at the Hudson River Museum as part of their Science Sundays program. Katherine addressed natural hazards, such as hurricanes and floods, and how we will prepare for them.
Katherine has addressed natural hazards and our responses to them with members of Congress, middle-school students, and scientists from the US Geological Survey. She is a also a graduate of Harvard University in Earth and Planetary Sciences.
