CRED Co-Director Elke Weber Convenes with IPCC Working Group 3 in New Zealand

Elke Weber, CRED co-director, traveled to Wellington, New Zealand to be with co-authors of the IPCC Working Group 3. The group met from March 19-23, 2012 to prepare their contribution to the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5), a review and assessment of the scientific, technical, and socio-economic information relevant to the understanding of the risks of and responses to climate change. The AR5, scheduled for release in 2013 and 2014, will consist of three volumes, representing the scientific work of three working groups for the IPCC: WG1-Physical Science Basis of Climate Change; WG2-Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability, and WG3-Mitigation of Climate Change.
